November 12, Part B

Olifants Camp, 1645

Two long drives today, and then move to a river view bungalow. I'm not going out this evening. I'm going to enjoy the view, fix dinner, drink wine. Maybe take a shower for the second consecutive day.

I've done almost no photo editing, but here are a few random photos, edited and some from the iPhone.

Here's a pretty view. Nothing much happened here this morning but I find that if you sit and wait, often birds will fill in. Your car becomes like a blind. Plus, it's just damned pleasant to sit here and drink coffee, right?

Here's another pretty view. When I find these, I take a note of location so I can come back and wait during optimum light. Maybe nothing happens. Unlikely to get a leopard that way. But, again, it's pleasant.

Here's Valentino.

Here's the dirtiest vehicle in the Kruger right now.

Here's an impala and lamb. Lambing season has begun and they're just adorable.

Here's an African wild dog.

A red-billed hornbill enjoys a delicious termite.

Cutest face ever?

That's it for now. It's hot, overcast and heading toward darkness.  But there's a herd of elephants crossing the river far below and it's the best place to be.
